Capacity Building

Building the people and institutions who build change – so impact outlives any single project.

Features of our Capacity Building Initiatives

We design and implement capacity-building programmes to strengthen the technical, managerial and institutional capabilities of civil society organisations, frontline functionaries and state government staff. These initiatives aim to improve programme delivery, governance and livelihood outcomes in tribal and rural communities.

Flagship

MA in Rural Management, Shiv Nadar University

A first-of-its-kind Master’s, co-created by BRLF, preparing young people to lead rural transformation. Its design breaks from convention: a full year spent in the field, a curriculum built around India’s most pressing rural challenges – water, farming, livelihoods, nutrition, sanitation – and faculty drawn from scholars and practitioners with decades of ground experience. The programme deliberately draws students from India’s most disadvantaged regions and communities, and its graduates have been placed with many of the country’s most respected grassroots organisations.
