The Government of Madhya Pradesh, through the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB), has envisioned responsible rural tourism by mobilising families in 100 selected villages to build homestays showcasing traditional architectural styles, with 6-8 curated homestays per village.
Hunnarshala Foundation has been appointed as technical partner to train masons, carpenters and artisans in traditional construction technologies. Hunnarshala has been awarded 30 villages across Jhabua, Dhar, Agar, Raisen, Hoshangabad, Bhopal, Sehore, Chhindwara, Dindori and Umariya districts, with 8 villages in Dhar, Jhabua and Agar currently proposed under this project.
