Overview

Having seen the success of the Certificate Programme in Rural Livelihoods, the Jharkhand State Livelihoods Promotion Society (JSLPS) approached BRLF to design a short-duration, customised course for its Field Thematic Coordinators (FTCs). BRLF developed the Short-term Training Programme in Rural Livelihoods in consultation with JSLPS and specialist knowledge partners.

The programme covers five modules — Digital Literacy, on/off-farm livelihoods, Non-Pesticide Management, hydrological water-security planning and Participatory Irrigation Management — delivered across 26 active learning days with a two-month break between capsules. The first batch of 25 FTCs launched on 25 May 2019.
