Overview

Adopting a holistic ridge-to-valley approach, the project integrates watershed development with eco-friendly enterprise promotion to build sustainable livelihoods across Maharashtra’s most deprived districts. Over five years, it will treat 4.39 lakh hectares through GIS-led scientific planning, while training 4,000 rural youth and women as eco-preneurs and providing specialised business support to establish 400 high-potential enterprises. With a focus on climate-resilient agriculture and rural entrepreneurship, the project aims to increase incomes, strengthen livelihoods, and drive inclusive development in SC/ST-majority regions, while contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.
